The Holidays sound a bit like the Temper Trap after starting off with some delightful Guster-esque bum bum bums on the drum drum drums. Which reminds me, Guster. I should really be listening to some Guster.

Justin Bieber, I mean Shawty Mane
I mean that because that's his "rapper name". YES!!! Finally he is a rapper!!
Mr. Mane makes fun of Tom Brady's hair. This fight is on!

Guitar Chillax o'clock
Now I have been a big fan of Andy McKee for quite some time, but I have just started listening to this type of melodic guitar amazingness again after discovering a little goodness from my old friend visiting from Brazil. He and i once tried our hand at a talent show, and I wish he was still around to jam, because he has started playing stuff like this. *Increible* (spanish or italian accent)
And make sure you stick around at least till 1:50... I love it!
And the original inspiration to this type of music: Not the furious Tokyo variety (see what I did there?)
And a classic guitar piece that is sure to woo all the ladies, last and not least...
I love instrumental songs that are so melodic, story filled that you can't believe in hindsight that they didn't have lyrics!

Love and Above
Fight From Above is showing off some of the great fun of the streets of LA downtown, east sideish near the LA Times building. Although going to the worst school in LA, they seem to be able to bring out some of the fun while drinking and rocking, something I think we all identify with.
Next funness up is a little awesome band called Neon Trees. There hit song "Animal" has definitely got a strong hook in my head that i love to sing.
Neon Trees - Animal by musiqforthenostalgiq
Neon Trees might be the best group to come out of Provo since BYU! But getting its roots in California makes this post Western-tastic. They got there start with The Killers which kind of helps me place them between The Strokes and something a little post-emo (the happy kind) like maybe taking back sunday? I don't know about that one... help me help you tell me what they sound like : )
I have been a fan of this mashup for quite sometime now, and I need to share it. A similar mix of every step was played at a wedding I attended last week, and it made me want to learn even more how to mix and match great songs together! As inspiration, I will post this to let the record officially show that one day I will make a mix that will be a delectable combination as experienced in this video:

Janelle Monae eh eh ehh
Besides having the best birthday around (12/1/85), Janelle Monae makes pretty good music. Here is some of it...
Make the Bus (featuring Of Montreal): Any song featuring Of Montreal is probably going to be pretty bitching. It tickles my pickle that they have a few songs together and now they are touring together. Lovers fo' sho!

Tightrope: Definitely sounds like an Outkast track (maybe half of that is due to Big Boi being on the song), which is a great thing. Although the track makes me wanna dance, which is very dangerous if you are on a tightrope.

Wondaland ("gotta get back to wondaland, i think me left me underpants" whooooey!) and others:

Ya Know...
Fuck you!
Groovy grooviness! Cee-Lo, you gnarly little dude! Never have I wanted to sing a song and dance so much while dropping f-bombs like they are pennies.

Who gets stung by bees?
Hello lady boys! Before we continue, please enjoy this whilst reading the rest of this post
Mumford & Sons // Little Lion Man by Stayloose
Ah, so there we are. This nice little gem of a band has just enough soul and folk to make me jig in my pants! I have enjoyed their album, and would recommend it to our entire fan base of this blog. There is so many fun songs I need to share. So stay tuned! I have just been working like 5 days a week, who does that?
And to add some visual stimulation
For those who haven't seen it, talk about a trip down memory lane! I just got the new arcade album, i heard great things so far. See you soon!

Skybox: In A Dream
More like in a schwing!!!
What a fantastical, lovely ding dong of a song this is. I saw this band at Lollapalooza and this was the final tune they played. The singer came out wearing a Lady Gaga-inspired sequined brassiere and tore off his pants to display some nice Gaga-spankies halfway through the song.
In other news, "Skybox" has become synonymous with puking because my sister wanted to throw up all morning. Instead, we danced around! Way better than yaking.
Below is a remix by Hood Internet, which is also pretty great. Makes me want to go outside and run a marathon and then stop after 3 minutes once this song is over!

Lollapalooza Battle! Where are you at Friday at 4?
Lollapalooza is already off to a great start in surpassing the greatness of Coachella: it isn't in the desert and it released its schedule today, giving me many more days to plan it like Earth (planet!) while Coachella usually gives me two and a half.
2. The New Pornographers, 4:00 - 5:00 on Budweiser (1st northernmost stage) - Best Songs: tons. Distractingly ugly lead singer but a large band so fun on stage, because something is always happening. Some guy plays the hooka piano!
Your Hands (Together) - The New Pornographers by deadpoetshonour
3. Devo, 4:00 - 5:00 on South (8th / least northernmost stage) - Best Songs: Whip It, Satisfaction, Watch Us Work It, Working in a Coalmine. Were on Yo Gabba Gabba, and people who have met them say the band is either out of their minds or very good at pretending they are. This point is illustrated very well by Devo’s live show, featuring cheesy songs supported by cheesy visuals and, of course, chedderey hats.
Friday Fun Fight!
1. Semi Precious Weapons, 4:15 - 5:00 on BMI (4th northernmost stage) - Best Song: Put a Diamond In It. Opening for Lady Gaga, so they must be... interesting. Bandmember Justin Tranter was a coach on the MTV show MADE and has his own jewelry line called "Fetty". This group seems interesting and antics would surely ensue.
