Guitar Chillax o'clock

Now I have been a big fan of Andy McKee for quite some time, but I have just started listening to this type of melodic guitar amazingness again after discovering a little goodness from my old friend visiting from Brazil. He and i once tried our hand at a talent show, and I wish he was still around to jam, because he has started playing stuff like this. *Increible* (spanish or italian accent)

And make sure you stick around at least till 1:50... I love it!

And the original inspiration to this type of music: Not the furious Tokyo variety (see what I did there?)

And a classic guitar piece that is sure to woo all the ladies, last and not least...

I love instrumental songs that are so melodic, story filled that you can't believe in hindsight that they didn't have lyrics!

Love and Above

Fight From Above is showing off some of the great fun of the streets of LA downtown, east sideish near the LA Times building. Although going to the worst school in LA, they seem to be able to bring out some of the fun while drinking and rocking, something I think we all identify with.

Next funness up is a little awesome band called Neon Trees. There hit song "Animal" has definitely got a strong hook in my head that i love to sing.

Neon Trees - Animal by musiqforthenostalgiq

Neon Trees might be the best group to come out of Provo since BYU! But getting its roots in California makes this post Western-tastic. They got there start with The Killers which kind of helps me place them between The Strokes and something a little post-emo (the happy kind) like maybe taking back sunday? I don't know about that one... help me help you tell me what they sound like : )

I have been a fan of this mashup for quite sometime now, and I need to share it. A similar mix of every step was played at a wedding I attended last week, and it made me want to learn even more how to mix and match great songs together! As inspiration, I will post this to let the record officially show that one day I will make a mix that will be a delectable combination as experienced in this video:

Janelle Monae eh eh ehh

Besides having the best birthday around (12/1/85), Janelle Monae makes pretty good music. Here is some of it...
Make the Bus (featuring Of Montreal): Any song featuring Of Montreal is probably going to be pretty bitching. It tickles my pickle that they have a few songs together and now they are touring together. Lovers fo' sho!

Tightrope: Definitely sounds like an Outkast track (maybe half of that is due to Big Boi being on the song), which is a great thing. Although the track makes me wanna dance, which is very dangerous if you are on a tightrope.

Wondaland ("gotta get back to wondaland, i think me left me underpants" whooooey!) and others:

Ya Know...

Fuck you!

Groovy grooviness! Cee-Lo, you gnarly little dude! Never have I wanted to sing a song and dance so much while dropping f-bombs like they are pennies.
